Elizabeth Howard is an acclaimed speaker, leader and writer. In the last 5 years she has raised over $8 million dollars for education, $1.5 million for mentorship and advocacy, $3 million in mental health programming, and hundreds of thousands for start ups, workforce development, civic engagement, arts programming, environmental technology, and more.
But Elizabeth is more than that. She’s a person. She’s a survivor.
Hi! My name is Elizabeth and this is my story. I started college in the early 2000s at 15, wanting to learn as much as I could about everything. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English with minors in history, art, art history, astronomy, marketing, sociology, educational psychology, and feminist studies. I decided to continue studying and received a Masters of Science in Leadership Development, focusing on minority education and writing educationally aligned programming for non-profits.
Teacher. Nanny. Salesperson. These are all different hats I wore in the business world, but people didn’t see my struggle with depression, anxiety, and domestic abuse. In 2013 I finally put value in myself and with the help of my chosen family was able to transition from victim to survivor.
While working and maintaining my professional life, I was drawn back into the world of art and administration where years volunteering at a rural museum turned into an opportunity to help our community through a larger platform. I used my position to feature art in our community as an economic gateway that would change the city, helping share the history of our people throughout historical preservation groups, seeing an influx of funding and new business development with artistic focuses, and provide more access to redevelop our downtown area.
Tragedy struck when my new husband passed away from a brain tumor. But it inspired me to take my story to other caregivers, hospices, and non profits, providing a resource for patient advocacy and financial assistance. I now provide consulting services to economic development authorities, funding associations and other non-profits to help even more people access resources and find resiliency in their own stories.
Let me help you share your heart, passion, and story with the world. Let me help turn your dream into a feasible reality.
